COMPANIES REGISTRATION
The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) was established in 1995 to reaffirm the Government of Pakistan's commitment to the development of the national IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) industry. Since its inception, PSEB has gone from strength to strength, and today, it offers software and service companies operating in Pakistan a range of services to help them achieve a competitive and strategic advantage.
For Pakistani software and service companies, building upon their inherent core competencies has become even more critical at a time when global spending on software development and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) has grown exponentially. According to some industry estimates, the budgets for outsourcing and development activities is expected to double, and non-traditional markets such as Europe and Asia-Pacific will emerge as significant players.
The emerging scenario presents a plethora of opportunities to the national IT and ITeS industry to move into non-traditional, under-penetrated markets and expand their service offerings.
In order to facilitate entrepreneurs in capitalizing upon the opportunities this new scenario presents, PSEB has aligned itself with the demands of the global marketplace and the needs of Pakistani entrepreneurs. It seeks to promote Pakistani products/services at home and abroad; to strengthen the industry by adopting internationally recognized quality standards; to attract investors, and to lobby relevant ministries so that an enabling environment is created within which this industry can flourish to its fullest potential.
